WHATSAPP DISAPPEARING FEATURE
Whatsapp is one of the most popular messaging apps in the world now. For WhatsApp users who share sensitive content through WhatsApp, security does matter. So, after a long time of waiting, Whatsapp brought the 'View Once' feature for all Whatsapp users.
We always wanted a feature where we share any sensitive information to someone and want the photos to be shown for once and then it will automatically disappear, just like instagram expiring media feature. And we all know Facebook owned company WhatsApp always listens to the user requests. And with the latest stable update they have brought a disappearing media feature in WhatsApp.
After selecting any media, choose the 'View Once' feature and send it, the media you shared will be shown only once to the receiver, after that it will automatically disappear from the chat. And even it will not be saved in the receiver's storage. According to WhatsApp, after the receiver sees the media or photos once, WhatsApp wouldn't be able to show the photos or media again.
WhatsApp also said that if the receiver doesn't open or see the media or photos, it will be automatically removed from WhatsApp chat in 14 days. And if the sender uses this feature, the receiver will not be able to select the star icon, share, forward or save the media or photos.
But if the content remains unopened, from the backup 'View Once Media and Photos' can be restored. But if the media or photo has been seen by the receiver already, it cannot be shown in backup again.
HOW TO ENABLE THE 'VIEW ONCE' FEATURE?
Open WHATSAPP.
Select the receiver whom you want to send the photo or media.
Select the attachment icon.
Choose the media or photos.
In the Caption bar a clock like Icon will be shown, Click there and Send, Whatsapp will show you a message that the media or photos you sent is set for View Once.
